A technical paper written by authors from RGSL and clients Crossrail and GCG has won the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) Manby Prize 2007 for the best technical paper (without specialist engineering designation) in an ICE Journal through the previous year. The paper concerned was 'What lies beneath: surveying the Thames at Woolwich' and was published in the Proceedings of ICE, 159(1):32-41 in February 2006. It describes the results of detailed geophysical investigations below the River Thames using Sub-Bottom Profiling and hydrographic surveying. Clients were Crossrail and Docklands Light Railway.
