Benefits of geophysics surveys

Geophysical site investigation techniques represent a suite of sophisticated tools that can be used to map the physical and chemical properties of the ground.

Compared with conventional, invasive methods of site investigation, such as boreholes and trial pits, geophysical methods enable complete site coverage with a far-greater sampling frequency, improving the likelihood of locating targets. Importantly, most geophysical ground investigation techniques are non-invasive and environmentally benign, enabling them to be used in situations where direct methods are less appropriate, such as on heavily contaminated sites.
